Loren Franco Designs benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation North Texas at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, TX
Reaching for the Stars Fashion Show featuring the designs of Loren Franco with fifteen Wish Kids stealing the hearts of the audience as they strolled down the runway and the chance to see a first peek at Loren Franco's talent in Women's fashion design - truly a magical night!
Loren created a glamorous showcase of modern women's evening gowns decorated the VIP area as she engaged the 'take flight, reach for the stars', theme. These gorgeous gowns displayed by cloth mannequins decorated around vintage planes, were partially made from hot air balloons and creatively placed throughout the venue. Airplane runway lights led the guests from the VIP section to the runway event room.
I was truly impressed with Loren, not simply for the talent displayed in her work, but for who she is as a person, as a designer. I caught a moment backstage where one of the Wish Kids' moms walked up to her crying thanking her for doing the event and allowing her child the opportunity to take part in the runway show. This is truly what life is all about, to give of your talents to impact the lives of others for good. I will end this post with a quote from Loren.
“We were all put on this earth for a reason and I want to believe that God has great plans for me in making a difference in other people’s lives. I never believed in profiting off of other people but better yet giving back in every way that I can. There is nothing else more fulfilling than that in life and I hope to become a great example to our son Eddie and leave a mark in life.”
